Satoshi Kitamura

Satoshi's Alphabet book was one of the very first books I bought at a charity book sale. So so impressive is this book. There is pure joy in the simple act of scanning the pages and taking in all of Satoshi's skillfully drawn things. And his ability to use the visual narrative in this story, that contains so few words, is masterful. Even though it is not really even a story... more of a game to guess the next letters. What a great artist. What a great sense of humour. What a great picture book maker!
